Quick fix
PC keeps crashing to a blue screen?
That stop code is actually telling you what went wrong.
1
Read the code
Snap a photo of the stop code on the blue screen, since that name points to the cause.
2
Just restart
A one off blue screen is common, so restart and see if it even comes back.
3
Undo recent changes
If it started after a new app, driver, or part, remove that and see if it stops.
4
Update everything
Run Windows Update and update your drivers, since old ones cause a lot of these crashes.
5
Check the memory
Type Windows Memory Diagnostic in the start menu and run it, since bad RAM is a common cause.
6
Back up files
If it keeps happening, copy your important files to another drive while you still can.
!
Heads up
Blue screens that keep coming back can mean failing RAM or a dying drive, so back up your files first. Power down and unplug a desktop before you open it, and if you are not comfortable poking around inside, leave it alone.
