Frequently asked questions
How much does data recovery cost?
Logical recovery (deleted files, formatted drives, corrupted partitions) starts at $129. Physical recovery (clicking drives, dead SSDs, water damage) runs $250–$500 depending on the failure. The evaluation is free and you'll have a fixed quote before any work starts.
Can you recover data from a drive that won't spin up or is clicking?
Often yes. Clicking drives almost always need head-stack work in a controlled environment — we have the donor parts and equipment. Don't keep trying to power it on; each attempt makes recovery harder.
Is my data kept private?
Yes. Drives stay in a locked workstation, never connected to the internet during recovery, and are securely wiped on request after data is returned. We'll sign an NDA if your situation needs one.
How long does recovery take?
Logical recoveries usually finish in 1–2 days. Physical recoveries take 3–7 days depending on the drive condition and how much data is being extracted.
