Method

Our process

01

Inspection

We check temperatures, fan health, and how much dust has built up, and flag anything that needs more than a clean before we start.

02

Deep Clean

Careful disassembly, then compressed-air and brush dust removal from the fans, vents, and heatsinks, plus an exterior wipe-down.

03

Fresh Thermal Paste

We replace dried-out thermal paste on the CPU (and GPU where it applies) so heat actually moves off the chip again.

04

Tune-Up & Test

A quick software tune-up — startup cleanup and updates — then a thermal stress-test to confirm it runs cool and quiet.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a computer cleaning cost?

It's a flat $40 for most laptops and desktops, covering the dust-out, fresh thermal paste, fan service, and a quick software tune-up. Very heavy gaming builds, water-cooled rigs, or machines that need extra disassembly are quoted upfront before we start — the price only varies with how involved the clean is.

How often should I get my computer cleaned?

Once a year is a good rule of thumb for most homes. With pets, carpet, or a gaming PC that runs hot, every six months keeps temperatures and fan noise in check.

Will a cleaning actually make my computer faster?

If it's overheating, yes — noticeably. When dust and dried thermal paste trap heat, the CPU and GPU slow themselves down to avoid damage (thermal throttling). Clearing that out and re-pasting lets it run at full speed again, cooler and quieter.

Do I need to back up my files before a cleaning?

A cleaning is a physical service and doesn't touch your files, but we always recommend a current backup before any service — and we're happy to set one up if you don't have one.
