The national chains have their place — recognizable names and storefronts in just about every mall. But for everyday computer and laptop repair, a lot of Miami customers want something the chains aren't built to offer: to deal with the same person the whole way through, to get a flat price before any work starts, and to have the machine back the same day instead of waiting on a regional depot.

That's the entire idea behind Circuit Care. Here's an honest, side-by-side look at how a local, owner-operated shop compares to the big chains — including where we draw our own lines.

Local

Circuit Care

Owner-operated computer repair in Kendall, Miami.

  • Same technician handles diagnosis, repair, and pickup — start to finish.
  • Flat, upfront pricing. $60 diagnostic, credited toward the repair if you proceed.
  • Same-day on most repairs. No multi-day backlog or "sent out to a depot."
  • Open till 11pm most days — far later than the mall counters.
  • 1-year warranty on custom builds; 90 days on repair labor.
  • Call or text the shop directly — no corporate phone tree.
  • Se habla español. Full English and Spanish service, every time.
  • Custom PC builds with live part-compatibility checking.
  • Pickup & delivery across Miami-Dade.

National chain shops

uBreakiFix, Geek Squad, big-box service counters.

  • Rotating staff — the tech who diagnoses your PC often isn't the one who repairs it.
  • Tiered or quoted pricing that can change after the initial estimate.
  • Typical 2–5 day turnaround; some repairs shipped to a regional service center.
  • Mall and big-box hours — usually closed by 8–9pm.
  • Warranty terms vary by location and corporate policy.
  • Corporate phone tree before you reach someone who can actually help.
  • Spanish service depends on which staff happens to be in-store that day.
  • Custom-PC build options limited or unavailable.
  • You bring the device to them — drop-off only.

Honest answers

Is Circuit Care a good alternative to uBreakiFix or Geek Squad?

If you want a local, owner-operated option, yes. The trade-off is simple: the chains have national brand recognition and mall locations; we offer one accountable technician, same-day turnarounds, later hours, flat pricing, custom builds, and pickup & delivery across Miami-Dade. For most everyday computer and laptop repairs, that's a faster, more personal experience.

What can't you do that a chain might?

We're upfront about our two boundaries — on any machine, Mac or PC, we don't take on cracked-screen replacement or board-level micro-soldering (like liquid-damaged logic boards). For those we recover your data first and refer you to a trusted local specialist. We also don't do phone screen repair; we focus on computers, laptops, and Macs.

Do you charge more than the chains for faster service?

No rush surcharge. Same-day is just how we work, and you pay the standard quoted price plus a $60 diagnostic that's credited toward the repair. You approve the full cost in writing before any work begins.

Where are you located, and do you come to me?

Our shop is in Kendall at 3779 SW 135th Ave, and we serve all of Miami-Dade — Kendall, Doral, Coral Gables, Hialeah, Homestead, Miami Beach and beyond — with drop-off plus pickup & delivery.
