No — we always image the drive first when there's any risk, and we don't wipe anything without your explicit OK. Your photos, documents, and apps stay intact unless they're part of the infection itself.
How long does a typical virus removal take?
Most cleanups are completed the same day, usually 2–4 hours of active work. Ransomware or deeply persistent infections can take 1–2 days.
Can you recover files encrypted by ransomware?
Sometimes. We check for public decryptors (many strains have them), attempt shadow-copy recovery, and look for backups you may have forgotten. We never pay ransoms or recommend you do.
Will you reinstall Windows?
Only as a last resort. We can almost always clean an infection without a wipe, which preserves your installed software, license keys, and settings.
